To receive Emergency Email Network www.emergencyemailnetwork.com messages on your mobile phone, you need a digital or dual-mode phone that has had text messaging activated.

 

Listed below are directions for subscribing to receive text messages on your mobile phone using the most common carriers in Accomack County.  If you use another carrier for your mobile phone, please call your carrier’s customer service number for assistance.

 

For Verizon subscribers:

 

Enter: Your 10 digit mobile phone number@vtext.com (example: 7577870000@vtext.com) in the “Your Complete Email Address” box.
Enter your mobile phone number in the “Phone No” box

 

Verizon refers to text messaging as “Wireless Text Messaging”.

If you have not signed up for Verizon's Wireless Text Messaging or are unsure if your phone is activated:
1. Call Verizon Customer Care 1-888-466-4646
2. Request to have Wireless Text Messaging activated on your phone

 

AT&T subscribers:

 

Enter: Your 10 digit mobile phone number@txt.att.net (example: 7577870000@txt.att.net) in the “Your Complete Email Address” box
Enter your mobile phone number in the “Phone No” box

 

AT&T refers to these types of phones as "Digital PCS phones with text messaging service activated”.

If you have not signed up for AT&Ts Text Messaging Service or are unsure if your phone is activated:
1. Call AT&T's Customer Service at 1-800-888-7600
